Thalea String Quartet to Perform Fifty for the Future Works

We are so excited that Thalea String Quartet will join us for our KRONOS FESTIVAL 2017! On Day 3 of our Festival, they will perform an intimate concert of Fifty for the Future works by Franghiz Ali-Zadeh, Garth Knox, and Wu Man. Thalea, the first-ever quartet in residence at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, will also perform Terry Riley’s “Sunrise of the Planetary Dream Collector,” which was the first piece that the composer wrote for Kronos back in 1981, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw‘s “Entr’acte.”
