THE SEA RANCH SONGS release announced

Our new album The Sea Ranch Songs (Cantaloupe Music) is now available for preorder on iTunes, Bandcamp, and the BOAC store. Featuring sumptuous music by composer Aleksandra Vrebalov and a dreamlike film by videographer and animator Andrew Lyndon, the CD/DVD set is scheduled for release on September 30, 2016.

To celebrate the release, the community of The Sea Ranch is hosting a DVD Screening Party with Vrebalov and Lyndon at Gualala Arts on Friday, September 30, 2016, at 7 p.m. The event is FREE, but expected to fill to capacity, so advance reservation is recommended. Learn more>

Esterhazy: a dream come true

This week, the Kronos Quartet had the privilege and honor of rehearsing and performing in Schloss Esterhazy’s Haydn Hall. Even after returning from their European tour that took them to the Viva Musica! Festival in Bratislava, Festival de Pollença on the Spanish island of Mallorca, and the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk, David, John, Hank, and Sunny are still sailing high from their Classic.Esterhazy concert. It was an unforgettable experience for them to play in the birthplace of the string quartet.

Tickets went on sale last week for a number of our upcoming 2016/17 concerts, including Texas Performing Arts at UT Austin on ‎9/20 and ‎9/23, Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA on ‎10/7, Cal Performances at UC Berkeley on ‎12/3, and The Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase on 2/12.

We know what we’re wearing for Halloween this year!

Philip Glass’s official soundtrack for Dracula is coming to vinyl for the very first time this Halloween.

Orange Mountain Music, which is dedicated to distributing Glass’s music, will release the double LP (180 gram black vinyl housed in gatefold jacket) on October 28. Preorders are available now on Amazon and other online retailers (or try your favorite local brick-and-mortar record store). The pressing is limited to 2,000 copies.
