This week we pay tribute to Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen. The Danish composer passed late last month. From the first moment encountering his music and his refreshing personality, we have all felt energized, encouraged, and refueled by his sonic explorations and the generous force of his imagination. The world has lost a rare person, one who embodied the sacred fire of creativity. We miss Pelle immensely. Help us give free access to string quartet music scores, and teach everyone how to play them. Please consider supporting our new education initiative Fifty for the Future: The Kronos Learning Repertoire before June 30, with a gift of $50 – one dollar for each new work created. Any amount helps – we’re a nonprofit organization with the mission to continually reimagine the string quartet experience.
Thank you for supporting our work!
