Fifty for the Future at Carnegie Hall

In concurrence with the first release of Fifty for the Future materials today, we’re concluding our weeklong intensive workshop at Carnegie Hall’s (Lead Partner) Weill Music Institute with a concert this evening, in which the three participating ensembles—the Argus, Friction, and Ligeti Quartets—perform the Fifty for Future pieces they’ve been working on with us all week, along with three movements from Terry Riley’s epic “Salome Dances for Peace.”

Kronos on WQXR’s Music Album of the Week

Record Store Day is coming up this Saturday, April 16, which means our recording of Clint Mansell’s Requiem for a Dream soundtrack will finally be out on vinyl for the first time. This classic recording was chosen as a Q2 Music Album of the Week this week, where WQXR’s Doyle Armbrust raves about this “deliciously chunky 180g vinyl.”

The Music of David Bowie - Livestream

Tomorrow evening, Kronos joins Jherek Bischoff, Amanda Palmer, Anna Calvi, and dozens of other musicians to perform The Music of David Bowie at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall. For those of you who can’t be there, you can still watch the show via livestream, courtesy of the Melodic Caring Project​!
