Beyond Zero: 1914–1918 at Viennale - Vienna International Film Festival

The Viennale is now in full swing, and we’re thrilled that they’ve chosen Beyond Zero: 1914–1918 to be a part of the festival. A collaboration between filmmaker Bill Morrison, composer Aleksandra Vrebalov, and Kronos, Beyond Zero: 1914–1918 was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I. Kronos Coast to Coast: My Lai, Black Angels, Dracula, and More

Join Kronos, Rinde Eckert and Vân-Ánh Võ at Stanford’s Bing Concert Hall this Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 PM for the world premiere of the concert version of My Lai. Jonathan Berger’s monodrama, with libretto by Harriet Chessman, portrays the 1968 massacre and its aftermath from the perspective of U.S. Army helicopter pilot Hugh Thompson. Buy Tickets

Fall Tour Highlights and Premieres!

After summer tours which included performances at the Roskilde Festival, the Montreaux Jazz Festival, the Cabrillo Festival, and more, Kronos has now started its fall tour!

This season marks the premiere of the first ten works commissioned through Fifty for the Future: The Kronos Learning Repertoire. Over the next five years, Kronos, Carnegie Hall and a group of adventurous partners will commission 50 new works (written by 25 men & 25 women) designed for students & emerging professionals. Scores, parts, recordings and other materials will be made available online at no charge, beginning in 2016.
