The symposium is presented as part of the American Folklife Center’s COVID-19 American History Project, a congressionally mandated initiative to collect, preserve and make publicly accessible oral histories documenting Americans’ experiences of the pandemic. The event will feature presentations and performances by scholars, documentarians, archivists and artists exploring the lived experiences of COVID-19 and its impact on cultural heritage in various communities. Events are free and open to the public.
