Vân-Ánh Võ and David Coulter

Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 3:30pm
SFJAZZ Center - Henderson Lab
San Francisco California

Tickets: $15

Afternoon concerts continue in the Joe Henderson Lab, in the third day of Kronos Festival 2016: Explorer Series, with a new duo meeting of musical adventurers. Multi-instrumentalist David Coulter has moved fluidly between popular, folk and contemporary music in his many projects as a record producer, impresario, performer, and composer for film, stage and concert hall, working with Tom Waits, the Pogues, Yoko Ono, Laurie Anderson, Robert Wilson, Beck, and many others. Here he joins multi-instrumentalist Vân-Ánh Võ, whose career has artfully combined the music of her native Vietnam with Western chamber and popular music, for a duo set of musical saw and Vietnamese zither.
