Kronos at Esterhazy!

We’ve been rehearsing this week in the birthplace of the string quartet art form – Haydn Hall at Schloss Esterházy. A dream come true!

We are ecstatic for tomorrow’s concert, where we’ll premiere Trey Spruance’s and Nicole Lizée’s new works for Fifty for the Future: The Kronos Learning Repertoire. We’ll be highlighting other works commissioned for Kronos’ Fifty for the Future, including pieces by Tanya Tagaq, Wu Man, Franghiz Ali-Zadeh, Trio Da Kali’s Fodé Lassana Diabaté, Garth Knox, and Aleksandra Vrebalov.

We’ll also be performing experimental work by John Oswald, Mark Applebaum, and Terry Riley, and covering music by N. Rajam, The Who, and Geeshie Wiley.
