New Summer Tour Dates!

We're excited to announce our summer tour dates! We'll be in Europe, the US, and even Taiwan this summer, so take a look at the full list of dates to see if Kronos will be performing near you!

Summer means festivals, and we're taking part in some of the very best in the next few months! We're thrilled to be part of Lincoln Center Out Of Doors Festival (Aug 13) followed by the Edinburgh International Festival later that month (Aug 21.) Kronos will be at the Monterey Jazz Festival (Sept 18) for both a solo set and special appearance with the Billy Childs Quartet, and at the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music (Aug 8) we're sharing the bill with eighth blackbird. Wu Man joins us for the 2010 Taipei Traditional Arts Festival (June 4), and Kronos joins the Taipei Chinese Orchestra a few days later (June 6.)

We're also performing at Cartagena Music Festival (July 13) and Lyon's Les Nuits de Fourvière (July 19) with the amazing Azerbaijani vocal duo Alim & Fargana Qasimov. (Listen to them on Rainbow: Music of Central Asia Vol. 8, our latest album!) We'll also appear at Berlin's Citadel Music Festival 2010 (July 15), Dresden's Filmnächte am Elbufer (July 17), Lyon's Les Nuits de Fourvière (July 20) and London's Blaze (July 22) with Philip Glass, performing his score to Dracula alongside the classic 1931 film starring Bela Lugosi.

Aside from the festivals, we're looking forward to all sorts of concerts in California this summer! Kronos will be playing two shows at San Francisco's Yoshi's Jazz Club (June 22 & 23), followed by a trip out to Nevada City (June 24) for a 75th birthday celebration concert for our longtime collaborator and dear friend Terry Riley. If you miss the shows in June, you can come have BBQ with Kronos at Rancho Nicasio (Aug 1)!
