SOUNDWALK launches in L.A.’s Griffith Park

LOS ANGELES: Ellen Reid’s SOUNDWALK—a free, GPS-enabled public work of art—has now launched in Griffith Park! The L.A. version, presented by CAP at UCLA, features brand new music recorded by Kronos and written specifically to harmonize with the park’s landscape and attractions.

“I hope SOUNDWALK will inspire us and make us feel connected to something larger than ourselves. It is meant to serve as artistic nourishment – a place to recharge, reconnect, and re-energize.”

After downloading the free app and putting on headphones, you can explore the park as you wish: the path you choose dictates the music you hear, and no two visits will be exactly the same. SOUNDWALK can be experienced while following social distancing guidelines and will be available free of charge to park visitors through 2023.
