“KNOCK – Part I,” a new dance piece directed by Marcel Zyskind, featuring Maria Kochetkova performing choreography by Sebastian Kloborg, is out today. The title and musical inspiration draw from our very own Knock, Joan Jeanrenaud’s 2016 work for Kronos’ 50 for the Future.
Shot with a 35mm, old Russian camera (Konvas 2M) with just enough film for one full take, this performance was as close to a live show as the team could get. “There was no room for mistakes,” Maria writes, “just like when you’re on stage and you have only one chance.”
We are thrilled to share the results of that one shot, and are continuously inspired by how others have been engaging with 50 for the Future and making it their own. Check out the full video below:
