Kronos: Signature Works

Designed for musicians in all genres?with special emphasis on young artists?Professional Training Workshops of The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall offer a unique opportunity for young musicians to be coached and trained by today?s master artists in an intimate setting. All workshops lead to a public performance presented at Carnegie Hall. Participants are chosen by formal application, including an audition recording. (Professional Training Workshops are open to auditors for a nominal registration fee.)

For this workshop, Kronos coaches four young quartets on works written for it by composers including Steve Reich, Terry Riley, Alexandra du Bois and John Zorn, passing along its own firsthand experiences of commissioning and performing new works.
