Over fifty years ago, an isolated landscape of astounding beauty became the site of The Sea Ranch, a grand experiment in environmental stewardship, land development, and intentional community planning. The Sea Ranch Songs celebrates the spirit, nature, and architecture of this magical place by merging a lush new work for string quartet by composer Aleksandra Vrebalov, rare documented sounds from the Northern California coastal community, and an evocative cinematic exploration by videographer Andrew Lyndon.
Performed live by Kronos Quartet, this sumptuous multimedia work will transport you beyond the stunning panoramas as it delves into The Sea Ranch’s metaphysical geography. Discover this unique place where people and nature are harmoniously intertwined.
