~ Concert celebrating Terry Riley’s 90th birthday by Kronos Quartet ~

At the request of Terry Riley himself, we will be performing the Japan premiere of Sun Rings. This work was scheduled to premiere in Japan at the Kanagawa Prefectural Music Hall during the 2022 tour, which was canceled just before arriving in Japan due to a delay in visa payments just after the end of the coronavirus pandemic. The Yaeyama Choir, which was scheduled to perform with the Quartet at that time, has also joined the executive committee and is looking forward to a comeback with the Kronos Quartet. On the day of the performance, Terry Riley will also rush over from Yamanashi to witness the Japan premiere.
